£159 Billion Government budget savings to fund the cost of new legislation

£159 Billion Government budget savings to fund the cost of new legislation

The GB1year Party has identified £159 Billion per year of Government savings so far and these are listed below. When we get hold of the books we will find further savings and stop all waste.

The GB 1 year Party will:

Save £25 billion minimum (target £50 Billion) by transferring work of unelected Quangos to elected authorities or specialist advice committees within Councils or Government. Very few Quangos are cost effective. The CE will have to sit before expenditure select committee within 6 weeks of the new government and justify their salaries, staff numbers and expenditure.

Save £50 billion by not making payments for EU membership.

Save £2 billion on EU fishing jobs and associated land jobs.

Save £10 billion returning farming to British farmers and start to make Britain self sufficient in meat and cereal production.

Save £1 billion preventing self employed Europeans gaining access to British pensions and benefits,

Save £1 billion on government consultant¹s fees.

Save £1 billion stopping Government bonuses, MP¹s expenses and other wasteful foreign trips.

Save £5 billion requiring all public authorities and government bodies to buy British manufactured vehicles.

Save £7 billion by scrapping ID card programme

Save £1 billion on EU fines for climate change and scrapping wind turbine programme,

Save £3 billion on EU fines charged for making late payments to farmers, not achieving recycling targets, or penalties on councils for not paying bills within 30 days.

Save £5 billion a year on Trident Missile programme by starting negotiations to substantially reduce missile numbers and carrying out improvements to extending existing missile life by 30 years.

Save £22 billion, which is 25% of £89 billion TPA list of Government wasted expenditure.

Save £1 billion Green Tax.

We believe further substantial saving will be found and will reduce the bulging national debt.
