Disqualification of MP’s and Peers

The existing Lords Appointments Commission will be renamed ‘and Dismissal Commission‘ New laid down procedure will require a 28day period to investigate complaints and make decisions to suspend MP’s or Peers where evidence indicates they have brought Parliament into disrepute. MP's, Peers or relatives will not be allowed to accept any money whatsoever directly or indirectly without authority in writing from the new Standards Commission. Full investigations of complaints must be completed within 42 days. MP’s and Peers will be required to submit evidence to charges. MP’s and Peers can be disqualified with unlimited fines and there will be a very limited appeals procedure.
