Schools Reading and Writing Standards

GB 1 YEAR PARTY will fund and require all children to obtain minimum reading and writing standard certificates before leaving school. GB1YEAR PARTY cannot accept that we have thousands of children who cannot read or write properly before they leave school. We believe that every person should read and write to support social and community cohesion and that is a major contributory factor in lawlessness. Urgent discussion will be held with teachers and teaching unions to set out new legislation that requires all children and young people to write to a minimum standard before they are allowed to leave school.
